  Why use a Bronze gear?

  Bronze & Composite are considered sacrificial gears, that is they absorb wear, thus protecting the Cam gear.

  The thought is the Distributor mounted gear is easy & relatively Inexpensive to replace every so often

  Distributor Gears should be made from a softer material than the cam gear

  • Allows for Proper Mating
  • Prevents Excessive Wear
